Shirley was dearly loved and is survived by her husband of 66 years, W.E. "Gene" Pierce; her daughter Michelle Grossniklaus (and husband Albert) of Indianapolis; and her son, Dale Pierce of Fuquay-Varina; six grandchildren (Karl, Sara, Michael, Danielle, Kelsey, and April); three great grandchildren, and other relatives.
